“New” Student Reservation Policy STEP I. Obtain Admission to Texas Southern University. STEP II. Visit www.tsu.edu to view Residential Community Rates to view room type, rates and lease terms. STEP III. While online under the housing webpage, select “Residential Meal Plans” tab to view meal plan options and rates. Please note: All residential students must select a meal plan. Apply for the Urban Academic Village at: www.tsu.edu/village. Once you have received your acceptance letter from the UAV, you may proceed with Step IV. For more information regarding the selection process for the UAV program, please contact the UAV Admissions team at 713.313.1318 STEP IV. While online under the housing webpage, click the “How to Apply” tab to complete and submit your electronic housing application. Please be sure to complete ALL fields. Note: You will be required to pay the $250 non-refundable application/administrative fee prior to submitting application. If you wish to pay said fee in person or by mail, please choose the “cash” option. Fees may be paid in person or by mail at: Officeof Student Accounting, 3100 Cleburne St, Houston,TX 77004 Bell Bldg Basement. Please note: If payment is not received within 10 days of submission, you will need to reapply. STEP V. Within 72 hours of submitting your electronic housing application, you will receive a “Status Letter” that details your total estimated cost of attendance including housing and meal plan. Please follow instructions within your “status letter” email to proceed further. STEP VI. Submission of Required Information. Please be sure to provide important documentation such as immunization record, physical exam and completed student health form the TSU Student Health Center. This documentation may be emailed to “vaccines@tsu.edu” or faxed to 713.313.7817. Please Note: ALL RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS MUST HAVE MENINGITIS SHOT AND BE REGISTERED FOR COURSES PRIOR TO CHECK-IN. STEP VII.All students must provide proof of health insurance coverage by submitting insurance information to the TSU Health Center or www.macori.com. If information is not submitted by the 12th class day of the semester, you will be charged a fee for University sponsored healthcare insurance. Please Note: A down payment of 70% of your residential expenses covered by Financial Aid or other resources & means is required before you will be given your room assignment, lease and meal plan contract. STEP VIII.Review & Acknowledge Your Residential Lease & Meal Plan Contract: After you’ve completed the steps in your “status letter” email, you will receive an electronic lease detailing your residential property, lease terms & provisions and meal plan contract. STEP IX. Receive your Confirmation Letter & Welcome Brochure via email and arrive to the university for Residential Check in accordance to the dates provided in your confirmation letter. Please note: If you do not check-in with 48 hours of the Residential Check In period, you may lose room reservation and will have to be reassigned at the time of arrival. |

gggkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkjjjjjjjjjjjjkkkkkkkkkkkkkggg “Returning” Student Reservation Policy Please Note: Total account balance must be $500 or less at the time of reapplying for RLH for the 2013-2014 school year. STEP I. Register for classes for the fall 2013 semester beginning April 15, 2013. STEP II. Complete FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov STEP III. Pickup “Group Reservation Renewal Application” form from the Leasing office located inside of Tierwester Oaks Building 1. STEP IV. Choose your roommates and include all names on form. Only one form needs to be submitted to RLH per group of four (4) students. Please ensure that all roommates included on group reservation form have registered for classes for fall 2013, completed FAFSA and have a total account balance $500 or less. STEP V. Return completed group reservation application form to the Leasing office by established deadlines to be considered Priority. Groups who submit application after priority deadline will be processed in the order received. STEP VI. Choose your Unit Number for your group. Please Note: A $0 past due balance and a down payment of 70% of your residential expenses covered by financial aid or other resources and means is required prior to receiving your Residential Lease & Meal Plan Contract. STEP VII. Review & Acknowledge Residential Lease and Meal Plan Contract. **Note: Rosewood Condos require a 12 month lease and participation in both Summer I and Summer II sessions. Student is subject to lease termination and a cancellation fee of $500 if he/she does not attend summer sessions while residing in Rosewood Condos. Note: All group housing reservations will be considered on a “First Come First Serve”
basis. Your group housing reservation is not considered complete until all those
in your group have registered for courses and all required documentation and payments
(if necessary) are received.
