Operation Procedures
 
The Procedures you see below have been developed by the Operations Team of The Residential Life & Housing Department.  The Operations Team is streamlining its service delivery processes to all in an effort to share the responsibility of providing a quality service to the professional staff and residents here at Texas Southern University.  Operations and Maintenance will assist divisions in taking responsibility for services and equipment that is used specifically in their sphere of service.  Please observe all inquiries for listed services will be addressed by these procedures.  Procedural resolutions will be accommodated by website, manual, and automated service. 

 How to Submit a Work Request


For Apartments
Please come inside to the Leasing Office and fill out the request form during
business hours.
 
For Residence Halls
Please go the office in the lobby of Lanier East or Lanier West and speak with a
Building Manager about your concern.

Lock Out Procedure

During Business Hours {M-F 8am-5pm}
The resident should report directly to the Leasing Office to get a temporary Loaner
Key that they can possess for 24 hours. If the key is not returned within the allotted
time, a $50 key charge will be billed to their account.

After Hours & Weekends
Check with a Resident Assistant on the floor of the building or at the sign-in desk.
If not available, please check with an RA from a different floor.
If you cannot reach a Resident Assistant, please utilize the display bulletin boards
in the buildings and contact a Graduate Assistant.

Maintenance Issues or Damaged Property
Please fill out a “Work Order Request” form at your designated property
