Congratulations on your acceptance to Texas Southern University. Student life is an important part of your college career, and on-campus living can make a real difference in your academic success. This view book provides important information regarding the options for University Housing and the on-campus living experience. 

It is our goal at Texas Southern to improve the quality of the student collegiate experience. We believe that our enhanced residential life offerings will meet and exceed your expectations of a safe and intellectually stimulating living environment. The Department of Residential Life and Housing is committed to providing a residential living/learning environment that facilitates an atmosphere of mutual respect and community engagement.

Texas Southern University has launched a new learning and living program. The Urban Academic Village is available to a select group of incoming freshmen. Only 400 of our 1,200 incoming freshmen will be selected to participate in this pilot program that includes both an academic and a residential learning community.

The University’s commitment to making our academic and student support resources available 24 hours a day is evidenced in the residential offerings at TSU NOW!

The second most important decision you will make after finalizing your college choice is where you are going to live. Quality options abound at Texas Southern. Our student residences offer a variety of student programming along with leadership and community service opportunities. Texas Southern University students have choices, but we believe none are better and more personally fulfilling than choosing to become an active part of the residential student experience.
