Open your browser
Type the following URL in the Address box of your web browser: http://texsu.blackboard.com/
Click on the User Login button
Enter your username and password using the format in the table below:

All User Names are formulated using the following standard:

"last name" + "first initial" + "last 4 digits of TSU student ID"

John Doe (T00001234): doej1234

Jane Smitherson-Johnson (T00002345):
smitherson-johnsonj2345

Password

All passwords are formulated using the following standard:

"Birth Date"
(birth date is in the MMDDYY format)

John Doe’s birth date is 01/01/1988:
Password = 010188

Jane Smitherson-Johnson’s birth date is 11/28/1978:
Password = 112878

Note: To change your password in Blackboard, please contact the Helpdesk at 713-313-4357.

Click on the User Login button
Enter your username and password using the format below:

Username: lastname+first inital+last 4 digits of TSU ID. Follow the examples:
John Doe (T00001234): doej1234
Jane Smitherson-Johnson (T00002345): smitherson-johnsonj2345

Password: Please use the same password as the one for the MyTSUweb site.

If that password is more than 6 digits only use the first 6 digits for Blackboard.
Faculty who have forgotten their passwords can reset their passwords:

Enter your TSU ID in the User ID field on the MyTSUweb site

Click the Forgot PIN? button.

If you are unable to remember the answer to the security question, please contact the Enrollment Service call center at 713-313-7071. You can also bring a TSU ID to the second floor of the Bell Building.
