How do I find out what jobs are available and information about employment with Texas Southern University? Visit our on-line sitewww.tsu.edu. To search for postings, click “ CareerCenter”, and then click on “ TSU Employment”. You have not reached the TSU Job Site. Click on the “ Search Postings” link at leftto search for jobs that are currently available. A list of available positions can be viewed in this mannerfrom any computer with Internet access. The available jobs are also posted on the first floor of Hannah Hall, outside the Human Resources Office. |

If I am applying for a Faculty position, what procedure will I use? Applicants for Faculty positions should follow the
same procedures as identified above.
Faculty positions are posted on the same
website.

How does the application process work? Applicants can complete their applications on-line from any computer with Internet access. After the closing date, all applications will be screened by one of the employment staff members. Those applicants who are to be interviewed normally will be contacted within three to four weeks (or longer, in some instances) after the closing date listed on the job list. You may check the status of your application after the closing date by visiting us on-line atwww.tsu.edu. After a final selection is made, the status of the application will change. |

All of my pertinent information is on my
resume. Do I still have to submit an
application?
Yes, an application is required to be
submitted for each vacant position. The resume is
considered only as a supplement to the application. The
Human Resources Department does not accept a resume in place
of an application, nor will we accept an application that
indicates “See Resume” in section requesting job
duties.

What if I do not have a computer or access to the
web?
Currently, there are computers available in the Human Resources office for your use. Human Resources office hours are: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru
Thursday
8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on
Friday

Who will see my application when I use the on-line site? Your application is on a secure web server and will be available to the Tiger Team (the Employment Division of the TSU Human Resources Department) and the hiring authority(s) for the specific job opening for which you apply. If the same position becomes available in a different department or with a different supervisor, your application may be reviewed for that opening by the responsible hiring authority. Texas Southern University does not share its database with other companies or universities. |
