It’s the best live entertainment in Houston. Tuesday,August 28th at Scott Gertner’s in the Houston Pavilions, Texas Southern University isKeeping the Music Alive with a tribute to Michael Jackson, a Birthday Celebration.
The event kicks off with live jazz and Happy Hour on the patio followed by the tribute concert at 8 p.m. featuring live performances accompanied by the Ernest Walker Band. Keeping the Music Alive supports TSU, an Historically Black College.

Sponsorship packages are available each month. Businesses can promote their products or services to an adult audience on the screen while live performances are going on; with table- top messages, in the same-day program and during intermission. Sponsorship levels include: Legends and Leaders for $1,000 and includes premier seating, stage announcements, concert program signage and bottle service; 85th Anniversary Sponsor for $500 which includes next row seating, announcements, introduction, day program ad and a bottle of champagne; Tiger Pride Sponsor for $300 which includes third row seating, acknowledgement during program and program ad; Diamond Lounge reserved seats are $75 each; and VIP reserved seats are $50 each. General admission is $20.
