Houston, TX - Texas Southern got back on the winning track when they took two games from Wiley College at MacGregor Park.

The Tigers won the first game on Tuesday, 11-9. Shane Leftely got the win and Dakota Laufenberg picked up the save. Both pitchers had two strikeouts. Anthony Dilligard had the best day at the plate with 3 hits in 4 at bats. He had 3 RBIs and 2 runs. Anthony Flenoy had 2 hits from 3 RBIs. TSU scored three runs in the first inning for a 3-0 lead. Wiley College went up by one when they scored 4 runs in the top of the 4th. But the Tigers finished the inning by picking up 5 runs in the bottom of the inning. Wiley got two more runs in the 5th and one in the 6th. Texas Southern scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for an 11-7 lead. Wiley scored their last 2 runs in the 8th and TSU took the win.

In game 2 on Wednesday, Texas Southern won 7-4. Michael Starkey got the win and Laufenberg earned his second save of the season. Starkey had 5 strikeouts after facing 15 batters. Flenoy got 2 of TSU's 5 RBIs. Lacy Jackson had 2 hits from 3 at bats with 1 RBI and 1 run. Wiley College went up 4-0 after picking up runs in the 2nd and 3rd inning. TSU took the lead when they scored 5 runs in the 4th inning.

Tigers picked up runs in the 5th and 8th to solidify their win. The Tigers will face Prairie View in a three game series on April 9th & 10th.
