Christopher Cutkelvin

Christopher (Chris) Cutkelvin is an innovative community organizer and full-time student of Texas Southern University. He is a senior majoring in Public Affairs and Psychology, anticipating graduation in the fall of 2013. Chris has been an active leader on the campus of Texas Southern University and wears many hats serving both students and the community.

His leadership roles include: Vice President of the NAACP, President of the Black Male Project , Senator of External Affairs in the Senate of the Student Government Association, Vice President of Programs for the Collegiate 100 Black Men, and the Internal Vice President of the Student Government Association. In addition, he also serves as the Southwestern Regional Assistant Vice President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Over and above his campus achievements, Chris makes time to pour even more of himself into the community through the non-profit organization Agents Providing Empowerment, which he created to target underserved communities.  This project later led to the development of the Helping Hands initiative which services the Section 8 housing area of Houston.  Chris is also the founder of Royal Elevation Productions, a Houston based marketing and public relations company.  In his spare time he plays soccer and enjoys the comfort of his family and friends.
