The mission of the group exercise program is to assist members of the Texas Southern community in reaching their fitness goals. With a target audience of mainly collegiate students, we also reach different staff and community members as well. Our mission is to provide all of our members with a safe effective workout, and promote a healthier style of living. |

Aerobic Studio Rules and Regulations |
|
Proper workout attire is required - sweats, exercise suits, t-shirts, sneakers (no street clothes .i.e. short shorts/halter tops, bathing suits, jeans, string t-shirts, flip-flops, work boots. |
|
No food, drinks (other than water) or gum chewing |
|
No spectators allowed ( only those participating are allowed in the area) |
|
The instructor is responsible for the studio and audio closet during class |
|
Members are allowed to use personal equipment, (mats, dumbbells, etc.) but the equipment may not be stored at the center |
|
To gain access to the studio during non-scheduled class time you must fill out the studio request form. Note: We ask that you bring your own radio. |
|
Insurance |
|
All students and staff members of Texas Southern University are covered under the University’s Liability Policy. Any instructor who is not a student or employee must provide proof Liability Insurance in order to teach a class here at the recreation and Wellness Center. Your policy should cover at least $500,000.00 of coverage per occurrence. |
