Personal Trainer Benefits

If you want to lose weight, get healthy and/or build muscle, hiring a personal trainer can be a step in the right direction. A good trainer can help you set up a program that meets your goals and teach you the best way to exercise. Finding and choosing a trainer can be a little confusing and, for some, intimidating. It's not easy asking for help, but going in with more knowledge about how personal training works can make it a little easier.

If you need to reschedule or cancel training session call the trainer directly or the fitness dept at 713-313-6812. 24 hour notice is required in order to receive credit for the session. Failure to cancel will result in the client being charged for the session.


Fitness assessment

A fitness assessment is a series of measurements that help determine physical fitness. There are several standard tests in a fitness assessment. Depending upon the assessor, other tests may be added to achieve a greater picture of fitness or lack thereof.

The main tests in a fitness assessment evaluate body mass index, resting heart rate and blood pressure, and aerobic fitness. Additional tests may evaluate body composition, lung capacity, flexibility and strength.
