Granville M. Sawyer AuditoriumDiagram
Formerly the University Auditorium, this
facility is Texas Southern University s historical
landmark. This historical facility also and has an adjacent
drama playhouse. Sawyer Auditorium features split level
seating for up to 1,800 guests. The stage is 78 x 39 to
give the audience 3,042 sq, ft. of viewable space.
Sawyer Auditorium also features (3) Dressing Rooms
upstairs and a large staging area downstairs, multi-level
curtains, and a 40 x30 front projection screen.

This beautiful facility is a premier
athletic facility featuring 8,100 seats and over
24,000 sq, ft of floor space. This facility features
(4) Dressing Areas, (6) Classrooms, (1) Auditorium,
(5) Racquet Ball Courts and (1) Conference
Room.

Charles P. Rhinehart Music
AuditoriumDiagram
You can literally hear a pin drop in
the Rhinehart Auditorium. This wonderful
acoustically designed recital hall was built so that
microphones would be obsolete. The
Rhinehart Auditorium features (2) Dressing Rooms and
a 21 x11 stage. It seats a total of 300
guests.

University Plaza
The Texas Southern University Plaza is
located in the heart of the University, and is the
gathering place for the University family. The
Plaza area features a lighted cobblestone surface
with over 30,000 sq, ft. of space.

Durley Track & Field
Complex
This newly renovated, state-of-the-art
facility features an artificial surface, regulation
size football field and an Olympic size track. This
track and field facility features grand stands that
are able to facilitate over 3,000 enthusiastic
fans.

Tennis Complex
The Texas Southern University Tennis
Complex is located adjacent to the Sterling Student
Life Center and features (5) tennis hard courts. This
complex is perfect for small to medium size tennis
tournaments.

AuditoriumsList
Texas Southern University has many
other auditoriums around campus. Each
auditorium is unique and will allow guests to find a
venue that suits their program needs.
Auditoriums of various sizes are located in the
Jesse H. Jones School of Business, Samuel Milton
Nabrit Science Building, Leonard H.O. Spearman
Technology Building, and the Martin Luther King
Humanities Center.
