OVERVIEW

The role of the Office of General Accounting is to provide quality services that enable the institution to adequately track and monitor fiscal operations. With integrity as our foundation, our goal is to assist in developing and maintaining quality accounting records.  Collaboratively, we work with the various Business & Financial Services departments to establish and implement processes that ensure proper integration of accounting flows throughout the institution.  The Office of General Accounting consists of four distinct areas:

        I.      General Ledger

     II.      Banking & Cash Management

   III.      Endowments and Investments

  IV.      Plant Accounting

Our primary responsibility is to provide high quality accounting guidance, service and support to the Texas Southern University community. Some of the various tasks include:
