The Budge Office is responsible for the development and implementation of the University Legislative Appropriations Request. We also develop and monitor the University's Annual Operating Budget and related turnaround analysis.

Budget Adoption
The University Budget is adopted by the Board of Regents in accordance with State statue, which requires that Governing Board of each of the institutions of higher education shall approve on or before September 01, of each year, an itemized Budget covering the operation of the ensuing fiscal year, which budget shall be prepared within the limits of the revenue available.

Budget Amendments
There are two types of changes in the budget, policy and administrative. Policy change include an increase in the University's Budget. These changes must be reported to the Board of Regents Finance Committee, who then make a recommendation to the entire Board of Regents for approval to increase the budget. Administrative Changes include internal changes in the budget that the chief fiscal officer and the President may approve. If the University makes a change in the budget, and the funds are transferred internally from one department to another, the President and the Chief Fiscal Officer can approve these changes internally, but should report the changes to the Finance Committee.
