I have a negative balance, how do I get my refund?
If you have a credit balance on your student account, you can receive your refund
in one of three ways.
- Students can receive their refund by having the funds direct deposited into a personal
bank account or signing up for the TSU Tiger Card. Please visit www.tsu.edu/refunds to review the information about the direct deposit and Tiger Card options, and then
click ‘Enroll Now’ to make your selection. Please note, students selecting the Tiger
Card option, will receive the card 7-10 business days after making their selection.
- If you do not setup a direct deposit or sign up for the Tiger Card, a physical check
will be cut and you will be advised as to how to pick up your check.
- The university’s preferred method of refunding financial aid overpayments is via direct
deposit or the TSU Tiger Card.
How long does it take to receive my refund?
Refund processing begins after the 1st class day of each semester, and are processed
on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year. Once your account reflects a zero
balance, you should expect to receive your refund within 3 business days for direct
deposit and physical checks.
Can I change how I receive future refunds?
All changes to how you receive your financial aid overpayment can be made through
the www.tsu.edu/refunds web page.
