The Capital Expenditure Plan (CEP) is Texas Southern University’s recurring annual investment program to improve the university’s buildings, infrastructure, technology, and systems/solutions supporting teaching and learning operations.

As an integral department for the use of the CEP, The Office of Information Technology (OIT) allocates funds for purchasing of enhancements that support a sustainable technology strategy, now and into the future, including computers/laptops, classroom/conference room audio and video upgrades, technology infrastructure (Fiber, Cabling, Routers/Switches, Servers, WiFi, and Security).

The current OIT CEP Phase III’s strategy focuses on establishing a robust foundation to improve TSU’s Fiber Plant, Network Design/Architecture, WiFi Upgrades, Student Facing/Serving Areas, and Business Continuity Redundancy. Phase III launched in November 2020 and with planned completion for June 2021.
