Pulitzer Prize Winning Play Comes to TSU

    top dogThe Theatre Program of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Texas Southern University presents the Pulitzer Prize winning drama Topdog/Underdog, written by Suzan-Lori Parks. Topdog Underdog will be presented in Ollington Smith Playhouse at Texas Southern University on Thursday, February 19 - Saturday, February 21 at 8:00 pm, and Sunday, February 22 at 4:00 pm.

    Published in 2001, the play tells the story of two brothers, Lincoln and Booth, abandoned by their parents at a very young age, and their need to learn to survive on their own.  Lincoln, is a retired three-card monte con game master who now works impersonating Abraham Lincoln at an arcade. His brother, Booth, is a thief but wishes to become as successful as his brother was at "throwing the cards.”
