TSU Public Affairs Student Twice Recognized
Francis Vazquez has been accepted into the 2015-2016 HBCU All-Star cohort to serve as the White House Initiative on HBCUs student ambassador for Texas Southern University. Vazquez will work to advance President Barack Obama’s Executive Order 13532, Promoting Excellence, Innovation, and Sustainability at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
In addition to being named as a student ambassador, Vazquez also recently presented a Certificate of Appreciation by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs for his contributions to the advancement of U.S. Foreign Policy toward Cuba. Vazquez was an instrumental member of the Consular Unit during his time in the Office of the Coordinator for Cuban Affairs.
