Mission Statement

The mission of the Jesse H. Jones School of Business Alumni Association is to foster, promote, explore, and advance new and innovative activities and programs that will enhance the career opportunities, lives and goals of the students at and from the School of Business at Texas Southern University.

History of the Organization

The Jesse H. Jones School of Business Alumni Chapter was reorganized in September of 1990. The very first officers were elected in 1991 and Anthony Gobert served as the first president from 1991 to 1994.

The goal of the chapter is to award scholarships to students who need help in purchasing books or paying fees. Every year the scholarships are awarded at the annual School of Business Honors Banquet. Over the past 13 years, the alumni chapter has given out over 56 scholarships totaling over $30,000.

The Jesse H. Jones School of Business chapter of the Texas Southern University (TSU) National Alumni Association takes pride in serving at TSU. Since reorganizing, we strive to involve our alumni through our many programs and services. The chapter is a chartered organization of the National Alumni Association.
