Dr. Mayur S. Desai earned his Ph.D. in Business Computers Information Systems at the University of North Texas, Denton in 1996. He holds an MBA degree from Hardin-Simmons University and MS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A & M University. Currently he is an associate professor of Management Information Systems at Texas Sourhern University (TSU).
Prior to joining Jesse H. Jones School of Business at TSU, Dr. Desai taught at Indiana University Kokomo for nine years where he established an e-Business lab. He holds two “excellence in teaching” awards from Indiana University Kokomo. He is currently involved in several research projects -- strategy for outsourcing, aligning business and IT strategy, and e-commerce issues. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in management information systems. Dr. Desai regularly publishes in refereed journals and presents papers at professional conferences. Dr. Desai has over 15 years of industry experience in electrical engineering.
