The English Department offers so many opportunities to get involved in together:
The Wheel Project
A focused dialogue, documented, and published work on young emerging and/or award-winning artists, particularly but not limited to artists of African Diaspora descent. Digitally Capturing and cataloging new Artists in Visual Arts, Theater, Literature, Music, Film, Dance, Fashion and Architecture.
English Club
This organization is open to all English majors, minors, graduate students, and those interested in literary endeavors.
Poetry Day
Each semester students are encouraged to read their original poetry during a festive event.
J. Marie McCleary Interdisciplinary Symposium
Students are invited to present their research papers at this scholarly annual venue.
Creative Writing
The English Department offers many opportunities for students interested in creative writing, including classes, writing groups, reading opportunities, and publication strategies.
