Justin Williams, M.S., Human Services & Consumer Sciences: Child & Family Development
Justin Williams originally started college to pursue a degree in Elementary Education but became a college dropout after the first semester at Stephen F. Austin State University. The next 8 months of his life were spent as a Call Center worker where he endured 12-hour shifts on telephones. Realizing that he was not living his life to its fullest capacity, he again became aware of the importance of a college education. His passion for academia was birthed through his quest for readmission into Texas Southern University. After being given a second chance, Justin vowed to not leave the city of Houston until he had a degree in his hand. During his time at Texas Southern University, Williams and his mother, Tracy Davis Williams, were in conversations about opening a Learning Center in Dallas once he graduated college. On December 19, 2010, Mrs. Williams passed away due to congested heart failure, and Justin made another vow, that he would go on to do great things in memory of his mother
