Cary Yates

Cary Yates joined Wells Fargo in 2006 and is currently Senior Vice President, Market Growth & Development Manager. Cary also leads Corporate Non-Profit Lending activities for the Houston market.

He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with Management and Leadership positions in a number of areas including Commercial Lending, Business Banking and Community Development.

Cary received his Degree in Business and Finance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He is also a Certified Development Housing Finance Specialist. Cary is a frequent speaker and panelist on topics relating to Financial Education, Economic Development, Business Banking, Community Development, Diversity and ‘The Secrets of Success’ which is customized for high school students. Cary is the President of C & C Professional Cleaning Inc and a Partner of Big Dogs Investments, a real estate acquisition Investment company.

Cary has an extensive record of community and board involvement with past and present organizations such as First Vice Chair for The Houston Area Urban League, Houston Symphony Board, Brays Oaks Management District Board, Board Member for the Texas Southern University Foundation. He is a past Board Member of the Houston Chapter of the NAACP and present member of the Texas Corporate Advisory Council for the NAACP. He is on the Presidents Advisory Council for the University of Houston Downtown campus. Board member for The Baylor College of Medicine Foundation for Teen Health and Board member for PACE-which supports youth on probation and their families by offering education and life skills. Cary has served as a Senate-confirmed Governor-appointed Board Chairman for the Housing industry for the State of Texas.

Cary has received numerous awards and recognition for his years of service including his work with Texas Children’s Hospital in partnership with the Non-Profit “Let the Fashions Begin” for his efforts to eradicate the sickle cell disease. Cary has received the Missouri City June Teenth Community Service Award, North Frontiers Community Service Award, NAACP Community Service Award, The T.S.U. Stellar Communicator Award, The TWEF Leadership Award, The Houston Citizens Chamber Community Service Award, He was also awarded the” Man of Valor” award from Holman Street Baptist Church for Community Service. One award he holds near and dear was the presented to him by the Spring Cypress Links for being an Outstanding Father.

He lives in Missouri City with his wife Clarease, who is a U.S. Judge. Together they have five wonderful children, Harry, Terry, Phillip Chelsey and their son Shawn-“who is gone but never forgotten”.
