ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBER - LAURIE VIGNAUD


Laurie Vignaud

Responsibilities include identifying, developing, monitoring, management and promotion of all community development programs and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) initiatives throughout the states of Louisiana and Texas. Instrumental in bringing millions of dollars in grant financing to the bank that were used to support affordable housing programs as well as authored some of their most creative affordable housing and small business initiatives.

Other responsibilities include recognizing and cultivating community development projects, which may involve the new construction and/or renovation of single family housing units throughout their south central region. Ms. Vignaud serves as the President of Capital One’s Community Development Corporation which is the entity that provides capital to nonprofit housing developers for the construction of new single family homes that will be sold to low and moderate income first time homebuyers. She works directly with various governments, non profit and for profit agencies to provide and promote affordable housing, small business and economic development/asset building opportunities. Ms. Vignaud manages a team of 5 associates strategically placed throughout Capital One’s south central market. Ms. Vignaud has over 19 years of experience in the Community Development and Affordable Housing Mortgage Lending and over 20 years in Banking.

She serves on several Boards and Committees;

ACCION Texas/Louisiana- Board Member, Houston Area Urban League- Board Member

NAACP, Texas State Corporate Advisory Board, Ensemble Theatre- Board Member

Ms. Vignaud attended the University of New Orleans where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Graduate Degree in Banking from Southern Methodist University SW Graduate School of Banking in Dallas Texas. She also attended Southern University of New Orleans where she studied Social Welfare.
