BP Frame the Future Scholarship

Scholarship Information:

The Jesse H. Jones School of Business is pleased to present the BP Frame the Future Scholarship opportunity for sophomore, junior, and senior students majoring in business – accounting, finance, management, MIS, or marketing who show exceptional academic ability and exemplify good citizenship as engaged members of the community. BP will award two (2) $5,000 academic scholarshipsfor the2018-2019academic year. (The scholarship award will be distributed to your TSU student account - $2,500 in the fall semester and $2,500 in the spring semester, provided that all eligibility requirements are maintained throughout the year.)

Application Closes:  Thursday, October 18, 2018 – Extended Deadline!


Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

  • A full disclosure that demonstrates the applicants financial need (based upon the FAFSA) and taking into consideration other scholarships or financial aid the applicant is receiving that does not carry an expectation to be paid back
  • Maintain full-time status with a minimum of 12 hours enrolled
  • Maintain a 3.20 Overall GPA or higher and in good standing with the University, including transfer credits
  • Must be a business major – accounting, finance, management, MIS, or marketing
  • Verified classification as a sophomore, junior, or senior
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or has permanent residency


Scholarship Application Requirements:

  • Demonstrated coursework – official transcript(s) from all colleges/universities attended (transcripts mailed directly to the JHJ School by the registrar must be received by the deadline)
  • Include your resume that outlines academic and non-academic awards, honors, memberships, and positions held, leadership activities, and work experience since high school
  • Two-page essay, double-spaced, describing three ways the JHJ School of Business has helped to frame your future educational/career goals.
  • One letter of recommendation from a current or recent professor, student affairs staff, or employer
  • Must have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) processed in Banner, as required of all scholarship recipients by the University
  • Professional (Business) Headshot (color)
