The C.T. Bauer Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship Information:

The Jesse H.  Jones School of Business is pleased to present The C.T.  Bauer Foundation Scholarship opportunity to juniors and seniors majoring in business – accounting, finance, management, MIS, and marketing who show exceptional academic ability and exemplify good citizenship as engaged members of the community. The C.T. Bauer Foundation will award (10) $5,000 academic scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year. (The scholarship award will be distributed to the recipient’s TSU student account - $2,500 in the fall semester and $2,500 in the spring semester, provided that all eligibility requirements are maintained throughout the year.)

Application Opens:Friday, October 12, 2018


Application Closes:Thursday, October 18, 2018 – Extended Deadline!


Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have demonstrated financial need
  • Maintain full-time enrollment status with a minimum of 12 semester credit hours
  • Must be a business major – accounting, finance, management, MIS, or marketing
  • Must be a junior or senior in good standing, including transfer credits
  • Maintain an overall grade point average of 3.25 or better
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or has permanent residency


Application Requirements:

  • Demonstrated coursework – official transcript(s) from all colleges/universities attended (transcripts mailed directly to the JHJ School by the registrar must be received by the deadline).
  • Include your resume that outlines academic and non-academic awards, honors, memberships and positions held, leadership activities, community service, and work experience since high school.
  • Two-page essay, double-spaced, describing an accomplishment, event, or mentorship relationship as a JHJ School student that has helped to frame your future by inspiring self-awareness, personal, and/or professional growth.
  • One letter of recommendation from a current or recent professor, student affairs staff, or employer
  • Must have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) processed in Banner, as required of all scholarship recipients by the University
  • Professional (Business) Headshot (color)
