Baxter Trust Academic Improvement Scholarship Program

Scholarship Information:

The Jesse H. Jones School of Business is pleased to present a tremendous opportunity for student academic improvement, in partnership with Baxter Trust. The Baxter Trust Academic Improvement Scholarship Program is designed to encourage progression among full-time business majors, strengthen the academic resolve of promising students, reward significant improvement in academics, and ensure that all JHJ School students realize their full potential in the achievement of their educational and career goals. Two scholarship awards are possible during the term of the program – first award in the fall 2017 semester and second award in the spring 2018 semester if academic milestones are achieved. Scholarships awards are available in the amount of $500, $750, or $900.

 

Term of the Program:  fall 2016 thru spring 2018

 

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • undergraduate student in good academic standing; must not be a transfer student
  • accounting, finance, management, management information systems, or marketing major
  • full-time student enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours, with an overall of 2.00 – 2.99 at the close of the fall 2015 semester with no grades of “I” or “W”
  • has earned at least 12 semester hours at the close of the fall 2015 semester
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DREAMER with proof thereof
  • completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) on file with the Office of Financial Aid as required by the University

 

Participation:  Students must meet ALL eligibility requirements to be considered for participation in the program. No application is required. Recipients will be notified by the Dean’s Office beginning the twelfth class day (September 11, 2017).
