This certificate course is designed to prepare students to take a national certification examination and to work for either a clinical laboratory, public health department or a hospital.. Phlebotomy technicians are trained to perform a variety of blood collection methods. The coursework includes theories and principles related to obtaining blood specimens from patients, including adults, children and infants.

Admission Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
Proof of Hepatitis B vaccinate
CPR course, drug screen and background check

Course Contact Hours: 96 Classroom Hours

Course Externship Hours: 160 Clinical Hours

Course Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 6pm-10pm (8 weeks from February 11, 2013 and ending April 17, 2013)
