InstructionsAs of
Spring 2005 the TSU Blackboard system has been integrated with
the Student Information System, Banner. Therefore, all usernames
and passwords are automatically generated by the system.
The
TSU Blackboard site can still be accessed at
http://texsu.blackboard.com
User
Name & Password
- Username Format:
Do Not
Use middle initial:
last name + first initial + last 4 digits of TSU ID number (Last 4
digits of T number).
e.g.
For Mary Smith with ID T000xxxx, the username would be
smithmxxxx
- Password Format:
The
password is the same as the PIN on the Enrollment Management
Website (to access this site click on the MY Web / Do It Online
link on
http://em.tsu.edu)
TSU
ID Number:
Faculty,
staff and students can determine their new TSU IDs by going to
the Enrollment Management Website and logging in with their old
IDs (SSN). Click on the Personal Information link, and then click
on the Display TSU ID number link. This will show the new TSU ID
number for the individual.
IMPORTANT
Blackboard
pulls information from the Student Information System; therefore,
it is important to ensure that your information on the Enrollment
Management site is current and accurate.
To
update your e-mail address in Blackboard, you have to update the
e-mail address listed for your on the Enrollment Management
website. If you update the field in Blackboard directly, it will
be overwritten the following day with whatever the e-mail field
listed on the Enrollment Management site contains.
It is
very important for the Enrollment Management site to have your
current and accurate information. This is what will be listed on
Blackboard and what your instructor will use to communicate with
you.
To
change your password in Blackboard, you have to change your
password on the Enrollment Management website. Once you have
changed your password there, it will be changed in Blackboard in
approximately one hour.
