Professional Biography
Joyce Finch is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling in
the College of Education at Texas Southern University. Dr. Finch received her Ed.D
at Texas Southern University, her Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling
at Sam Houston State University, and her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education
at the University of Houston. She taught on the Elementary level for 9 years, intermediate
Counselor for 10 years, and High School Counselor for 13 years. Her emphasis is School
Counseling, and she has presented at Texas Counseling Association Conferences and
Secondary School Counselors Conference.
