Admission Cycle

Thank you for your interest in Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences!   All prospective students to the Doctor of Pharmacy program are expected to review the admission requirements prior to submitting an application. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Program 2015 application cycle begins July 14, 2014 and closes December 1, 2014.  We encourage applicants to get started soon with the PharmCAS application and the College of Pharmacy and Health Science (COPHS) supplemental application.  

To apply for admission, an applicant must:
•    Complete the PharmCAS application www.pharmcas.org
•    Complete the AppyTexas application for Texas Southern University (if not already enrolled as a TSU student)
•    Complete the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) supplemental application and submit the
     Supplemental fee ($150) payable by cashier’s check or money order mailed directly to:

•    Provide full name and PharmCAS ID number on each item of the supplemental application materials
•    Provide current PCAT scores (details in Admissions Overview)
•    Complete the required Pre-Pharmacy coursework for Texas Southern University COPHS
•    Submit the 3 required letters of recommendation through PharmCAS. (Acceptable: U.S. licensed practicing
     pharmacist (required), a math or science instructor, and/or supervisor/employer)

•    Provide documented current volunteer/community service experience (a letter or certificate indicating hours of
     volunteering or professional club activities). If a certified pharmacy technician (CPHT), documentation is  
     required.

•    The supplemental application will be provided to the applicant once PharmCAS has processed/verified the  
     required documentation for the applicant.
