Residency Information
The Drug Information Center of Texas Southern
University offers a one year specialized residency in Drug
Information designed to create a candidate capable of being an
organizational leader in the development of safe and effective
medication-use policies and/or processes and in the expert analysis
of medication-related information.
This residency is a structured education and training
experience that should mold the residents into becoming experts in
searching, retrieving, analyzing, synthesizing, and disseminating,
biomedical literature . Duties include but are not limited to
literature searching and evaluation, formulary management, policy
and procedure design, and newsletter preparation).
OUTCOMES & GOALS
The residency objectives are those developed by American
Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
REQUIREMENTS
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited
School of Pharmacy.
