Introduction
The Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy Drug Information Center is located in the heart of the Houston medical center and caters to health care professionals in and around the Houston area.  The Drug Information Center provides current, comprehensive, and objective information to optimize patient care.  This center provides information related to medications which are safe, appropriate, and cost effective.  In addition to making drug information readily available to health care professionals and affiliated institutions, the Drug Information Center serves  as a learning center for pharmacy students and residents to acquire the skills necessary for the research, interpretation and delivery of evidence-based drug information.  

Our Mission
To provide unbiased, comprehensive, evidence based drug information to health care professionals and affiliated institutions within a student centered learning facility, which will enhance the  overall delivery of patient care and optimize therapeutic outcomes in a safe and cost effective manner.

Description
The Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Drug Information Center will function as a service operation housed in the John P. McGovern Campus that focuses on three core activities: service, education, and research. This unique center will provide comprehensive drug information services to clients including but not limited to hospitals, HMOs, nursing homes, home infusion companies, community pharmacies, and governmental entities.
