Paul Njoku leaves his mark on JHJ
Paul chose to attend the JHJ School of Business because of the friendly faculty and staff, and the wonderful opportunities to excel among his peers, and Paul has done just that. He has taken advantage of all that JHJ has to offer, and has carved a path to academic excellence. Njoku’s active participation in Beta Alpha Psi, a national scholastic and professional accounting fraternity, culminated in his election as president of the Delta Xi Chapter. Paul is also a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, The Golden Key International Honours Society, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, The Houston CPA Society, and the National Association of Black Accountants. Njoku credits his ability to excel in academics, while balancing other interests and responsibilities, with his passion for academics and his affinity for helping others. When asked what he likes most about JHJ, he said, “I like the fact that I can ask a question to virtually any professor about a particular assignment at any time of the day.” Committed to academic excellence, this scholar is the recipient of the Pan Hellenic Scholarship Award, the Houston CPA Society Accounting Scholarship Award, The Tom Joyner Scholarship Award, and the Fifth Year Accounting Scholarship Award. Paul was also nominated as “Mr. JHJ” in 2010-2011. Aside from his involvement in numerous activities, organizations, and programs, Paul also works with Deloitte & Touche, LLP as an Audit Enterprise Risk Service Intern, and has accepted a job offer for full-time employment, beginning Spring 2013. This fall semester, Paul graduated Magna Cum Laude with the Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting – earning yet another intellectual distinction of high achievement. While Paul leaves a legacy of academic excellence at JHJ, he has again set his sights and is paving the way towards the future. This future CPA plans to attend graduate school while working as an internal auditor for Deloitte & Touche. |
