Texas Southern University (TSU) will hold its annual Earth Day/Arbor Day activities on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 10 am – 2 pm, hosted by the Buildings and Grounds Department and the Barbara Jordan-Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs (BJML SPA). Earth Day/Arbor Day will begin with a welcome from Dr. Glenn S. Johnson, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies of the BJML SPA and Mr. Terry Garner, Master Gardner, Houston Department of Health and Human Services. The day will include a variety of sustainable campus activities, such as tree and seedling planting, tile and paver painting, and walkway improvements. The event will be held in front of the Jessie H. Jones School of Business. TSU students, faculty, and staff, as well as, the surrounding community of the Wallip School and Jack Yates High School will participate in the activities planned for this exciting day.
