GOALS

Project Goal

1. Identify barriers that impact minority participation in rehabilitation research.
2. Assess key areas of institutional capacity that limits minority institutions from participating in disability research.
3. Ascertain key areas of intervention to increase the number of minority researchers involved in disability research.
4. Identify a cadre of minority researchers interested in training and technical assistance to increase their competitiveness for rehabilitation research grants.

Training Goal
Provide training from knowledge gained from the Minority Center's research activities for minority and majority researchers, and representatives of institutions of higher education.

Dissemination Goal
Develop informational materials based on knowledge gained from the Minority Center's research activities, and disseminate to minority and majority researchers, and representatives of institutions of higher education.
