From assessing students' skills to identify their strengths in the field of education, advisors alike, are charged with the mission to provide guidance and important information relevant to the demands for the future educators of tomorrow. The College of Education Student Advisement Center at Texas Southern University is committed to creating a safe and confidential environment where students can seek direction as they plan and complete their programs of study at TSU.

The Student Advisement Center's endeavor is to provide and facilitate students' personal enrichment as they prepare and grow to be knowledgeable, well-rounded professionals. The Student Advisement Center offers the following services:

Academic advisement
Personal advisement
External resource referrals
Tutorials
Personal development training
Career development seminars

One of the purposes of the center is to assist students in the development of meaningful educational plans which are compatible with their life goals. Prospective students interested in becoming an educator or counselor can find information in the Student Advisement Center located in the College of Education. Current students wishing to pursue advisement should consult the Student Advisement Center by calling 713.313.4360.
