WELCOME TO CAREER SERVICES!

The Career Services Office (CSO) is responsible for the organization and administration of on-campus interviews; off-campus recruitment programs; career counseling, including legal and alternative careers; individual assistance in preparing resumes, cover letters and interviewing techniques; legal employment searches; and organizing seminars featuring practicing attorneys.

Graduates of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law secure employment throughout the country. The majority of our graduates enter private practice and government, while the remainder choose positions in corporations, public interest groups, legal service corporations, judicial clerkships, and the military.

OUR MISSION

The Office of Development-Career Services strives to prepare our students in unique and diverse legal careers upon graduation. Realizing that the legal profession is ever changing and expanding, Career Services takes great pride in ensuring that our students will enter first jobs and clerkships equipped with professional skills that guarantee successful and rewarding work experiences. Our services are unique as they are structured to place the individual needs of our students at the forefront. We aim to expose our students to a broad base of exciting career opportunities with traditional legal employers such as small, mid-to-large size firms. In addition, we aid and encourage our students alternative legal employment opportunities that exist in non-profit organizations; city, state, and federal government; corporations; the judiciary, banks; accounting firms, and sports and entertainment agencies.
