Job postings can also be accessed via the CSO bi-monthly student and alumni newsletters. Each newsletter is complete with job postings and professional development articles. Newsletters are distributed by email. Please contact the CSO to register your email address if you are not currently receiving newsletters or announcements by email.
Westlaw.com
The law school has arranged with Thompson Publishing (Westlaw) to provide our students and alumni with access to national job postings. Students and alumni may access LawStudentJobsOnline and AttorneyJobsOnline using their assigned Westlaw password, by logging on to www.lawschool.westlaw.com and visiting Career Resources in the "Law School Resources" section.
LexisNexis.com
Students may access the LexisNexis Career Center with their assigned passwords at www.lexisnexis.com/lawschool/career. The LexisNexis Career Center contains career-related information for law students, and has a variety of online resources. One of the most helpful resources includes Martindale-Hubbell, a valuable tool for researching potential employers before submitting your resume or interviewing.
Internet Resources / Computer Work Stations
The internet is a useful tool for career development. The CSO has compiled an internet resource list that may be utilized to conduct a job search, research a legal employer, or obtain information on bar associations and other member groups. Computer workstations are available for preparing resume searching for jobs.
CSO Publications
The CSO offers a series of career guides and tips on resume writing, interviewing, networking, etiquette and attire, networking, and judicial clerkships. CSO career guides are aimed toward developing students and alumni with superior interviewing skills and stellar resumes and cover letters. In addition, the CSO also develops information on federal, state, and local judicial clerkships. This material supplements the annual Federal Clerkship Survey of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) -a law placement organization, in which Thurgood Marshall is an active participant.

Students who need access to a telephone in a private area may use a telephone in an interview room for job search purposes. Students will need to use their personal long-distance account or calling card for any long distance phone calls.
Reciprocity
To facilitate job placement for out of state students, the CSO has reciprocity with other law schools across the country.
