The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation recently recognized and awarded Texas Southern University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) with a scholarship in the amount of $15,000 for excellence in diversity programs.

COPHS will provide guided mentorship and intensive Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) preparation to pre-pharmacy students from underrepresented African American and Hispanic minorities in order to prepare for pharmacy school admission.

As part of the NACDS Foundation’s commitment to pharmacy education, the Foundation awards approximately $230,000 in grants and scholarships each year to accredited U.S. colleges and schools of pharmacy. COPHS is one of eight schools to receive grants from the NACDS Foundation Scholarship Program.
