Undergraduate Student Awards – Undergraduate students who participated in the annual summer research internship of the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases have gone on to compete at national biomedical research forums. 2.                   Gerald Lindsey (a 2001 intern), 1^st place winner at the 16^th Annual Symposium on Career Opportunities in Biomedical Sciences of the Association of Minority Health Professions Schools (AMPHS) in Norfolk, Virginia.
