Biomedical Research Faculty Recruitment and
Development (BRFR&D)
TSU requires additional faculty to strengthen the existing
research environment and to stimulate sustained and competitive research. The
purpose
of this project is to build on the success of the previous
BRFR
by recruiting new
established faculty to support an emerging MS and PhD
degree program in biomedical and
pharmaceutical sciences. This activity is designed to improve the
research infrastructure by increasing the number and quality of biomedical
research faculty investigating health issues that disproportionately affect
disadvantaged populations. The
BRFR&D
is consistent with the institution's renewed interest and commitment to
increasing both the level of research activity and the number of faculty members
engaged in biomedical and behavioral research.
