Research Interest

My specialty is artificial intelligence and particularly Natural Language processing and Intelligent Tutoring Systems. My research interest are in the development of intelligent educational systems that can predict and correct student errors in a scientific domain of learning and select the teaching material that is suited to a particular student based on the errors and misconceptions that were identified for this student.  My second area of interest is the semantic web and the development of web metadata extraction engine based on RDF specification. The RDF graph obtained from extraction can be used for automatic web content evaluation. This research interest stems from my work at the Microelectronics and Computer Corporation at Austin, and at Brightware Inc, where I worked on developing ontologies, knowledge based systems, NLP and information extraction systems.
