FITNESS & WELLNESS

 

 

 

The Fitness Center is the home to the latest cardiovascular and strength-training equipment including elliptical stair climbers, treadmills, computerized bikes and free weights.  You may also choose to take advantage of our group exercise classes which are held in our aerobics studio complete with state of the art sound system.  Our certified fitness staff is always on hand for fitness orientations and assessments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fitness Classes
(All classes one hour unless specified)

 

Boot Camp (Monday & Wednesday @ 3:00pm)

A high intensity class which employs a combination of strength and endurance training to meet fitness goals and is recommended for those of advanced fitness levels or those who are not afraid to push themselves to that point.

 

Core Basix (Monday & Wednesday @ 7:00am)

Core strength has long been recognized by martial artists and dancers alike as the foundation for posture, balance, and nearly every move we make on a day-to-day basis.  This class is designed to build strength, condition, and tone the abdominal and lower back muscles.


Express Aerobics (Tuesday & Thursday @ 12:30pm)
High Impact aerobics in a compact class time for those who need to hurry up and get back to class or to work. (30 min)

 

Floor Pilates (Thursday @ 6:00pm & Saturday @ 12:00noon)

Quickly becoming one of the most popular forms of training, Pilates is taking the world by storm.  This innovative approach to fitness employs elements of Yoga and core training, enabling participants to improve balance, muscle tone, flexibility, and strength. 

 

Karate (Tuesday & Thursdays @ 5:30pm)
Goju Ryu is a style of Karate so called as it allows a combination of hard (punches & kicks) and soft (throws & blocks) techniques.

 

Kardio Kickboxing (Saturday @ 10:00am)Kick Boxing
If you’re tired of the same old aerobics routine, then this class is for you.  It combines the energy, music and excitement of an aerobics program.  Plus it consists of a series of drills set to music including shadow boxing, kicks, shuffling, punching and blocking techniques all in an action-packed workout!

 

Spinning (Tuesday & Thursday @ 6:00am & 7:00am & Monday @ 5:30pm)

The muscles of the legs are our biggest energy burners and allow us to easily reach our target heart rates.  Stationary cycling is a safe way to make these facts work for us in achieving fitness goals.  Spinning has become one the most potent and popular modes of group exercise. 

 

Step Aerobics (Monday & Wednesday @ 5:30pm)

Certified instructors lead members in various movements designed to burn fat, tone the body, and condition the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.  Hip Hop, Step, and Body sculpting classes can be both challenging and fun!  Each class can be taken at one’s own pace, so there is no need to be intimidated. 

 

 

Fitness Assessments

 

Need help reaching your fitness goals?  Set up an appointment with a member of our fitness center staff for an assessment.  They will take your weight, body fat, blood pressure, and test you cardio vascular endurance and flexibility.  Once these information is obtained a workout plan can be designed just  for you.
