SERVICES
Aside
from fitness classes and intramural sports, the TSU Recreation & Wellness Center
offers a number of special programs and services. We are continuously updating
our programs and services. Listed below are a few that are currently offered at
the Rec.
SeniorCize
The
SeniorCize Program is new to the TSU Recreation and Wellness Center. The TSU
Wellness Staff designed this program specifically for the senior citizens of the
community. While participating in SeniorCize, seniors have the opportunity to
improve their health with holistic exercise programs and a Wellness Center
membership.
Club
Sports
The Club
Sports Program is designed to serve individual competitive and recreational
interest in different sports and activities. Many teams conduct interclub
activities such as practice, instruction and tournament play, and some represent
TSU in intercollegiate competition. Sports clubs serve as a learning
experience, through involvement, skill development and social fellowship.
Currently the following clubs are offered: Karate, Soccer, Chess, and Women’s
Volleyball. If you are interested in starting a new club please call

Greek
& Dorm Olympics
Although
the Greek and Dorm Olympics are not an official component of Recreational
Sports, organizers of these programs use the facilities and staff to assist with
managing and hosting these activities. Dormitory and off-campus apartment
dwellers engage in a variety of physical and mental activities over a six-week
period during the spring semester. Greek organizations come together for
friendly sports and fitness activities under the leadership of the Pan-Hellenic
Council. These are fun-filled and highly competitive events that serve to unify
these campus organizations.
Massage Therapy
The
purpose of a therapeutic massage is to enhance the functions of joints and
muscles, improve circulation and general body tome, relieve mental and physical
fatigue, relieve muscle tension and spasm, and provide a deep level of
relaxation. Massage therapy is offered at the Recreation Center for a nominal
fee. For information or to set an appointment, please see membership
operations.

receive free information and demonstrations on issues such as diabetes,
