Greetings Fellow Tigers!

Welcome back to the greatest institution of higher education and the second largest Historically Black College University (HBCU) in the nation, Texas Southern University.

It is a genuine honor to serve as Student Government Association President for the 2007-2008 school year. Greetings, from the Executive Branch of the Student Government Association of Texas Southern University. I am tempted to declare this year as “the year of the student” because it is with the problems and concerns of our students that the Association will concern itself. It is the student that we will seek to keep safe and make comfortable. And it is for the student that we will make every effort to provide the best academic and social experiences. With that said, let me state for the record, that if you encounter ANY problems, please don’t hesitate to contact the SGA office, located on the second floor of the Sterling Student Life Center. We are here to serve you.

To the class of 2011, you have made the right decision! Texas Southern University can open doors to opportunities that may otherwise be shut tight. Welcome to Tiger Land. Prepare to make memories and friends that will last a lifetime.

To sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate and professional students, continue your journey to academic excellence. And if I, as your president, or the SGA collectively, can do anything to improve your TSU experience, please let us know.
