Class Officers represent the various classes throughout the University and operate much like that of state governments. The Class Governor is the head of each class and is in charge of the decision making of the particular class. Class Officers are responsible for ensuring that specific class needs and demands of each class are met and executed throughout the Student Government Association. Class Officers are elected each fall semester by their constituents.
The Election Commission is an independent body in the Student Government Association which presides over and executes the election process. Other responsibilities of the Election Commission are to ensure voter notifications and increase voter turnout campus wide. The Commission is made up of nine commissioners and headed by the Commission Chair, whom is appointed by the Student Body President. The Commission also addresses all complaints and discrepancies which stem from elections or election results.
The Student Publications Board is an independent body in the Student Government Association which oversees all student publications on Campus, including the Tiger Herald, and yearbooks. The Board is made up of several members within the student body, Student Government Association and campus Faculty, all whom are appointed by the Student Body President. Major responsibilities are to ensure no censorship of student’s voices and concerns throughout campus as well as to serve as a media outlet for all students on campus and members of the University committee.
