Undergraduate Admissions

 

  • Freshman Admissions-A student who has never attended a post-secondary institution of higher education such as a university or college.
  • Early College Admissions-At Texas Southern University (TSU), early admission policy is designed to give high school students with outstanding academic performance an opportunity to enroll in regular college courses for credit toward graduation while they are still in high school. Students can enroll either during the summer session following the junior year in high school, or in the fall of the senior year. The student must take high school courses concurrently while enrolled as a part-time student at TSU.
  • Transfer Students-Students who have attended another College or University prior to seeking admission to Texas Southern University are transfer students.
  •  Former Students-Students who have attended Texas Southern University previously but has not attended within the past year.
  •  Post Baccalaureate-A student who has already been awarded a degree from an accredited four-year institution of higher learning and wants to return to pursue another undergraduate degree or take undergraduate courses is considered a post-baccalaureate student .
