Abstract: Declining voter participation coupled with the close, contested presidential elections of 2000 and 20004 have focused heightened attention on the political attitudes and behavior of electoral sub-groups. This paper describes and analyzes those of young African American voters attending a Southern, urban, public, HBCU in 2006.
