Abstract

Three-hundred African-American students attending Texas Southern University were surveyed in the spring and fall of 2008, during the presidential primaries and presidential contest between Senators Barack Obama and John McCain, on their choice for president. The survey found of the candidates seeking the nomination of the major political parties and the summer-fall contest between Obama and McCain, that Senator Barack Obama of Illinois was favored by a wide margin. The lead investigator of this study is School of Communication professor Masoomeh Khosrovani, Ph.D. Click the following links to learn more about this study.  Fall 2008 Survey: MSDocs/academics/communication/Presidential Election of 2008-4-4.doc .  Spring 2008 Survey:   MSDocs/academics/communication/presidential_survey_2008.doc
