LOCATION CHANGE FOR GRAMBLING STATE AT TEXAS SOUTHERN
State Farm Sponsors Kick for Tuition and Fees at Student Appreciation Day
Houston – The Grambling State University at Texas Southern University football game scheduled for Thursday, November 20 in San Antonio, Texas has been moved back to Houston. The game will be played at Houston Independent School District’s Delmar Stadium. This Southwestern Athletic Conference game will be nationally televised on ESPNU and is scheduled to kickoff at 8:05 p.m.
“We were approached earlier by a promoter about playing this game in San Antonio,” said TSU Athletics Director Charles McClelland. “Because some essential details were not worked out in a timely manner, we decided that it was in the best interest of TSU to bring the game back to Houston.”
The game has been tabbed as Student Appreciation Day. One TSU student will be allowed an opportunity to participate in the State Farm Kick for Tuition and Fees. At all home athletic events through November 20, TSU students with a valid ID will have the opportunity to register for a chance to be selected to kick a 40-yard field goal during halftime. If the field goal is good, the student will receive tuition and fees for the 2009 spring semester.
The gates at Delmar Stadium will open at 7:00 p.m. All general admission tickets will be $15. Texas Southern students must present a valid school I.D. for admission.
