Professional Biography
Dr Stroud has worked in the field of K-12 education in a large urban district in all areas of school administration. She has served as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, assistant principal, principal, district superintendent and deputy superintendent. She has been responsible for developing programs for the selection of principals as well as professional development for principals and district superintendents. Dr. Stroud currently serves as a consultant, leadership coach and holds a teaching position at Texas Southern University. She is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the College of Education and teaches core courses in Educational Administration. Her responsibilities include supervising administrative interns and teaching administrator preparation courses. Current research interest include women in leadership roles in school administration and the development of effective principals for urban schools.
